I take a great deal of inspiration from my mother’s photos, which she herself knows to be (and prioritizes to be) candid shots. The sort of beauty in capturing an unexpected moment is the crux of every photograph I take. In some significant way I feel that it relinquishes an expectation on the part of the viewer to dig deep to find some sort of complex meaning behind what I present them. To simply take it as it is, and maybe seat themselves in the single solitary moment, if only for a short while. Enjoy the sunset.
